Caring for your Stonebath

Cleaning and maintenance of matte white baths and basins

For everyday cleaning we recommend using Jif or another cream cleanser. Do not use bleach or ammonia to clean baths.

Products to avoid near stone baths and basins are hair dye, bath crayons, hair chalk, tanning products, nail polish or nail polish remover. If contact occurs, rinse immediately.

Do not place hot items on any stone products.

Cleaning and maintenance of coloured baths and basins

Rinse after each use to prevent mineral and soap accumulation. Wipe clean and dry with a clean soft cloth.

Use a cleaning product such as Jif, and a soft cloth.

Re-seal the surface with a car wax twice a year to keep the natural shine.

Repairing damage

While our stone products are durable, sometimes accidents happen. For damage that cannot be sanded, please contactĀ info@stonebaths.co.nz

Scratches/stains

It may be possible to polish very fine scratches and light stains away without using abrasive papers, scrubbing gently with a soft brush or plastic pad (not metal scouring) and a mild abrasive cream cleaner. Afterwards scrub off with fresh water and re-polish.
